Conference preview: Research and Conservation Opportunities for 2023

February 2, 2023 | Kriss Nelson

A team of conservation agronomists from the Iowa Soybean Association’s (ISA) Research Center for Farming Innovation (RCFI) will discuss the merits of research and conservation opportunities available to soybean producers this year at the upcoming Innovation to Profit Conference.

“Attendees will learn about the wide array of research trials available and how conservation relates to those trials,” says Ben Porepp, ISA conservation agronomist. “We will also discuss the available funding, and how we use the research we have to prove conservation can work on their farm.”

The team is also looking forward to hearing from farmers about what research trials they may want to try on their farms.

The session will allow for a chance to break down some of the more confusing terms and acronyms that come with different conservation practices and will enable the audience to learn more about the ISA conservation agronomist program.

“For the people that haven’t had an opportunity to work with us or don’t have one in their area, we will talk about where we are located and what we do on a day-to-day basis,” says Joe Wuebker, ISA conservation agronomist.
